In memory of: Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar....A legend...

Everyone remembers When Gandhi was born and died....just because we get a vacation for his parents' mistake and his enemy's good job...but no one remembers the real great man like Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar..
Today is Savarkar's death anniversary..but no one seems to care..its a real bad thing..and its real bad luck on our side....
we are unlucky, and the time has proven this fact time and again...
Savarkar was never considered great by gandhi ..just because he was the lone man to challenge Gandhi's plan of Congress govt after english...He got the punishment of sayin truth..u guys wont believe..this man was jailed after independence...for...a bizarre reason..Pak PM's visit..
this is a thing to be ashamed of..Nehru did this to the man..who spent his best years of life in Andaman..
he was a man who challenged British when they declared him two lifetime jails...he had said then..i dun think u can carry on for that long..
such was a man who was hated so much by nehru...that his friendly advice of increasing military was whipped away by nehru in words..that He(Savarkar) was warthirsty...and nehru paid the price when china attacked india within no time...and we lost miserably...such was the man with foresight...
His only fault was that he didnot die in freedom fight...and destiny had many bitter moments for him in his own country...
today sparingly people know him and his great deeds...
People like manishankar aiyyar remove his sayings from andaman...who is this manishankar..what has he done...has he spent even 10 hrs in cellular jaill Savarkar spent his 10 yrs there...
he was so progressive that he denied the Chaturvarnya system in Hindus and built a temple with nonbrahmin pujaris...
this man in a controversial statement said that Cow is not goddess it is just a useful animal...no body had courage to say this in front of conservative Hindus..but he said...not even the self proclaimed great Gandhi could say this to Hindus...gandhi always backed Chaturvarnya whereas Savarkar opposed it...
Describing Savarkar's deeds will take me many incarnations...
Removing his sayings from walls or purposely not remembering him will not fade his greatness...but its my duty to remember him..and try to follow the bright path shown by him...
He is the inspiration of my life and may he be the inspiration of whole nation...
Jay Swatantryaveer Savarkar...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always feel that Savarkar has been wrongly treated, even after his death people still finding difficult to appreciate his efforts in independence, his love towards nation.
Gandhi-Nehru's internal politics has totally ruined life of Mr.Savarkar.
In today's world it is really hard to find the man with such great values and morever have the ability to emulate it.
I always like his vision of eradicating caste system. It should be implemented at the time of constitution, instead maintaining it for so many years.

I agree with the man, on a general basis. But as is always the case, the beliefs and priciples of great men are rarely preserved after they pass on, even by those who call themselves followers and admirers of the man. More than his principles and beliefs (quite a few of which I respect), its his "take no bullshit, give no shit" attitude which I like. Compared to a vacillating Congress leadership and a swindling British Administration, it is something to be admired.

values and personalities are good for talking purpose, but seldom followed. We like ideologies and ideological figures, but the fact remains it is difficult to emulate them once they are gone. Nowadays, people are more concerned with their materialistic quests that they do not care about ideological figures like Savarkar. Even, spiritual thought awakeners like Swami Vivekanada. It is sad but there is no concrete platform, to project these people great work and achievements. I wish that u put the great deeds of Savarkar on the social cause blog, a way forward to understand our complex society and the heroes born out of it.

This day he died... 26th February coincides with my father's Birth day....
More important than the man... we need to try and practise some of his values in this life of ours....
That would mean a fitting tribute to this great man...
